Sept Delays on Hwy 18

BAXTER, Minn. – Motorists travelling along the north shore of Mille Lacs Lake will encounter a detour as Highway 18 becomes impassable at Seastade Creek, 5.5 miles west of Malmo, beginning Sept. 13.
 
Highway 18 will close to through traffic between Highway 169 and Highway 47 beginning Sept. 13.
 
A 24-mile signed detour will direct motorists along Highway 169, Aitkin County Road 28, Aitkin County Road 12 and Highway 47. Highway 18 is scheduled to reopen by Sept. 29, weather permitting.
 
The closure is needed as crews replace the Highway 18 bridge spanning Seastade Creek.

K-Lakes Falls Silent after Labor Day

K-Lakes ends its service to the Brainerd Lakes Area on Labor Day.

Minnesota Christian Broadcasting Inc has purchased the FCC license of Lakes Broadcasting group.  MCBI anticipates September 12th as the first day of programming from its Pulse format.

K-Lakes will fall silent after Labor Day ending more than 28 years of broadcasting to the Lakes Area from Breezy Point.
