That is terrible news. One of our favorite things about coming to the lake the past 17 years was being able to listen to your radio station and the wonderful music you have always played. So many times we have wished there was a station like yours in the Twin Cities. We will miss you!
Thank you Bundgaard's and staff for all the great years! You were the best!
I'm so sorry to have you leave the Brainerd lakes area. For as long as I can remember you have been playing in my barn, deerstand, and boat and car. I start getting picking up your signal around Milaca on my home and love to hear the great music and wit. I for one will really miss K Lakes.
Thank you K-Lakes for many years of relaxing, homey, and enjoyable broadcasting. You were like coming home to a friend after so many years or the same peace as sitting in front of a warm fireplace. Thank you for introducing a new generation to the likes of Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, Nate King Cole while mixing with good clean currents like Adele. You will be missed. Please come back!
So sad.
Oh man, how I loved this station. The DJ's, the fact that they would announce lost dogs on the air, the small town nature of it and of course the music.
For 18 years, I have listened faithfully to KLKS and I am devastated.
As I have been raising my 3 kids, I was always so proud of the fact that when they get older, and they hear songs from the K Lakes Rotation, their memories of childhood at the cabin will come flooding back.
K Lakes was the soundtrack for every trip to my cabin for the past 18 years.
Lakes WAS the cabin...I feel like a friend died...I am so, so sad about this.
tears in my eyes...seriously...i had no idea I would be so emotional about this...shows you how much K Lakes meant
Oh... This is so sad. We have been listening for 11 years. It has been our exclusive station ... So many memories attached to it... Our lake place will never sound right anymore...
We have listened for over 10 years and just can't believe you are no longer on the air. How sad that a great-listening radio station like yours is no longer available. There will be vast silence in our home now.
This is such sad news. I have had the pleasure of listening to K-Lakes for many years and miss it dearly whenever I headed down to the Twin Cities. No other radio station played the music K-Lakes did. LOVED the mix of old & new.
Very much enjoyed listening to KLKS over the past nine years. Had it on 24/7 in garage and shop and always in the vehicle. You will be missed and may all of the staff be blessed and enjoy future success. Thank you for your contribution to our entertainment pleasure
I hope all of you who were associated with KLKS is very proud of the contribution you made with your excellent programming and on-the-air manner. You were the best. We will miss you and remember.

I have been coming to Pequot Lakes since the early 60's, and I've been listening every weekend since you first came on the air. I had you on my outside speaker every weekend and enjoyed listening to the best music in the world with great hosts that included Roger Awsumb and the likes. It was a joy to hear KLKS as I worked in the yard, on the cabin and had friends and neighbors over for get-togethers. Your music and hosts just seemed to fit in perfectly, but, now it feels as though I have lost a very close and dear friend and things won't seem the same anymore. It is a shame to see you leave. Good luck to all of you in you future endeavors, and be assured, you will not be forgotten. I would love to see you return...........
