Two men died after a boat capsized on Lake Winnibigoshish over the weekend.
The Cass County Sheriff's office was notified about 6:30 PM of the incident in the northern part of the County near Bena. Responding officers located the boat and several items floating

at Breezy Point was designated as infested waters last July, when DNR divers found two
zebra mussels near Gooseberry Island.
Since that time, divers and residents have found additional zebra
mussels in various locations of the lake.

WALKER, Minn. (AP) — A 50-year-old Benedict man is dead after an apparent
logging accident in Cass County.
Sheriff Tom Burch says Wednesday that authorities got a call about a logging
accident Tuesday afternoon in Pike Bay Township. They arrived to find the man
had been hit by a large tree that fell from a logging boom.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
