Gay Marriage Goes Before State Lawmakers

The Minnesota Legislature will consider legalizing same-sex marriage this session. State Senator Paul Koering, Fort Ripley Republican, tells KLKS News, he will oppose the effort. He says even though he's gay, he will vote against the legislation because lawmakers have bigger fish to fry dealing with a budget deficit estimated at five to seven billion dollars. A rally was held in St. Paul Thursday in support of gay marriage.
