Congress Hears The Family Pain from Nursing Home Poisonings

Stewart Parnell, President of Peanut Corporation of America had nothing to say to congressmen about products from his company that were linked to the deaths of nine. One of those was Shirley Almer, a resident of a Brainerd Nursing home. Her son, Jeffery had plenty to say in his testimony before lawmakers. He said the company's actions were criminal, and they should be forced to eat their own products. Two others died from salmonella poisoning from tainted peanut butter at the Brainerd nursing home. They were Clifford Tousignant, a three time purple heart winner, and Doris Flatgard.
