High Speed Broadband On the Way
Minnesota is moving forward in the world of High-Speed Broadband. Rick King, Chair of the state Ultra High-Speed Broadband Task force tells KLKS News, it will have an important medical application. He says the higher speeds will allow patients to talk to specialists across town, or across the country.
King says widespread high-speed broadband will also have a significant impact on education.
King says the signals will be carried on cable, fiber optic and wireless facilities. He says the biggest challenge will be to deliver the capability to the most remote areas, and that’s where wireless becomes important.
