Sebeka Tops Ellsworth in Semi-Finals of 1A

The Trojans scored 26 points off turnovers and went on to defeat the Panthers of Ellsworth 61-60 in the second Class A semifinal of the day. Sebeka also forced the Panthers into 19 turnovers, 11 of which came in the first half.

Ellsworth’s Casey Schilling put the Panthers lead up 60-59 with 31 seconds left in regulation, but Sebeka’s Alex Brockpahler gave the Trojans the lead for good when he drained a jumper with 12 seconds left on the clock.

Four of Sebeka’s players scored in double digits, including Brockpahler who led the Trojans with 16 points, John Clark 14, Joey Cuperus 12, and Cody Pulju 11. Clark also had 5 rebounds and three blocks in the victory.

For Ellsworth, Casey Schilling led all scorers with 31 points and had 14 rebounds for the Panthers. Trevor Gruis added had a double-double for Ellsworth with 14 points and 16 rebounds.
