Letter Scam in Todd County

The bag of tricks of scam artists isn't getting any smaller.

The Todd County Sheriff's Office has gotten complaints from citizens who have received a letter with a check enclosed. They are urged to cash the check, and then send a large portion by Western Union to those named in the letter. The recpient was to keep what was left over.

The Todd County Sheriff says it is a scam.
