Pine River Mourns Loss of School Boy

Cass County authorities have identified a 6 year old boy who was killed by a school bus in Pine River on Monday. Authorities say Evan Lindquist had just gotten off the bus at his rural Pine River home when he was struck by the bus Monday afternoon.

The bus driver was identified as 74-year old Westal Maine of Pequot Lakes. Pine River-Backs Schools Transportation Director, Tom Bristow says that the driver was "devastated." The accident remains under investigation.
