Forest Trails Restricted

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is closing trails in several state forests during the mud season.

Vehicles weighing less than 1,500 pounds are being restricted because of the wet sloppy conditions.

The forests affected are Pine Island, Smokey Bear, Koochiching and Kebetogama.

The trails will be reopened as soon as ground conditions improve.
