Hecker's legal Troubles Grow

(AP) More woes for fallen auto mogul Denny Hecker. His attorney, Bill Skolnick, told the Federal Bankruptcy Court that he plans to withdraw from the case. He has already told the Hennepin County Family Court that he will withdraw as Hecker's divorce attorney.

Earlier, Marsh Halberg quit the criminal case over a pay dispute, leaving Bill Mauzy as Hecker's lone defense lawyer.

The 57-year-old Hecker once owned auto dealerships all over the state, including two in Brainerd. They are now under new ownership.

Hecker also owns a lake home on the Whitefish Chain. However, the courts have not allowed him to use it.
