Lewis Sentenced for Manslaughter
A 25-year-old Brainerd man will spend another year in jail for the death of another man in downtown Brainerd last summer. Bradley Thomas Lewis agreed to a first degree murder charge, in exchange for the dismissal of an array of other charges. Thomas was involved in an altercation August 19th in which 39-year-old Chad Charles Campbell suffered a severe head injury. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where he died. Police determined alcohol was a factor. Lewis has been jailed since the incident. He was not given credit for time already served. If Thomas violates the terms of his probation, he could be sentenced to over eight years in jail.

Now we can Kill another human being with our fist and only serve 0ne year in th local jail Because??? I don't understand this kind of justice.
I visited Lewis's my space last year and he stated he had spent three months in cty jail for assault. He did it again and this time he killed someone - we sure take good care of our felons. Is he even going to prison or serve time in the local jail?
Looks like the cty atty did a real good job prosecuting. Probably needed to spend more time with DUI and other important cases. He needs big thank you from the family of Chad.
