Schools Want No Strings Attached to Stimulus Money

The federal stimulus package could send up to $339,000 to the Pequot Lakes school system. Superintendent Rick Linnell cautions those are only estimates. And, they don't know what kinds of strings are attached. Linnell tells KLKS News if those dollars can be applied to programs, it would be great. Linnell says all school districts are looking at reductions, because they don't know what next year will bring. He says Pequot Lakes has a decent fund balance, but they don't want to use it all up while they wait for the economy to improve.
