Walker Eel Pout Festival

This is the weekend Walker goes bonkers over the slimy eel pout. Chamber Spokesperson Char Moore tells KLKS News, 10 thousand are expected for the 30th annual Eel Pout Festival. She says someone could get rich. A trout has been tagged and released. If it's caught this weekend, the lucky angler will net $25 thousand. Moore says the event begins Friday at noon with the lighting of the torch, sky diving and hot air balloons. Saturday, folks can sample eel pout nuggets at the city park. Moore says an eel pout has the head of a catfish, and the body of an eel.
