Olson Says Their Pay Should Considered for Cuts

State Senator Mary Olson of Bemidji says everything must be on to table as lawmakers consider a Republican proposal to cut the salaries of legislators and constitutional officers. Senator Olson tells KLKS News there are many misconceptions about their pay. She says lawmakers put varying levels of effort into it, others treat it as a full time job. Senator Olson says another misconception surrounds their pensions. She says they have the opportunity to contribute to a 401K, but there is no other defined pension plan.
