Avoiding Home Burglary in Crow Wing County

One in 12 homes is targeted by burglars, according to Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl. He tells KLKS News, protecting homes from invasion has little to do with luck. The area's top cop says crooks are looking for easy entrance and escape. He says expensive security sytems help. So does telling your neighbors when you are gone and when you will be back. Good lighting outside and at entrances is important. Sheriff Dahl says homeowners should not attach notes to the house announcing when they will be gone, or when they will be back.
