Brainerd Man Assaulted Tuesday Night

A 35-year-old Brainerd man is in critical condition following an assault in northeast Brainerd Tuesday night. Police say the man was beaten by several men on 7Th Avenue near J street, just before midnight. He was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, then airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. A 26-year-old Brainerd woman was arrested after talking to police, who are looking for four to six men black males in their 20's to 30's, all wearing dark colored clothing. One of the suspects is believed to be around 300 pounds. Police are looking for a green 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis, license number XKY 036. Anyone with information is asked to call Brainerd Police.
