Fatal Highway Crashes Down, So Far

So far, highway crashes have killed fewer people compared to last year at this time. Minnesota State Patrol Sergeant Curt Mower said they could be even lower. Mower said 131 people have died in fatal highway crashes so far this year, compared to 150 at this time last year. Five motorcyclists have died in crashes this year; ten last year by now. Eight pedestrians this year; 11 last year by late May. Mower said this is the time of the year when motorcyclist and bicyclists are out and about so be aware, drive cautiously and remain alert.
