Rankin Prepares for National Service

Today is the last official day Chip Rankin will be on duty as Principal of Pequot Lakes High School Patriots, because he is a patriot.  Soon, he is on duty in Afghanistan.  Rankin is a member of the National Guard. 

A pep fest and departure rally for Rankin will be held from 2:45-3:15 in the high school gym today.

Middle Level Principal Randy Hanson tells KLKS News, he will be missed. 

Rankin will train for three months at Camp Ripley.  He will serve a one year tour in Afghanistan and should be back in Pequot Lakes in April, 2012.

Hanson will be named as interim High School Principal and Amy LaBarre will become the Middle School Principal pending school board approval
