Gazelka Predicts Budget Pain for All

The Minnesota State Senate is expected to take up a budget cutting bill today.  State Senator Paul Gazelka of Brainerd expects it will look a lot like the house cuts passed earlier.

Gazelka tells KLKS News, there will be pain for many.  However, he says he is trying to lessen the impact on nursing home payments locally.  He says there is a three tier system now, in which the Brainerd area gets the least amount.  He wants to reduce it down to two tiers.

Gazelka says everybody is going to have to be part of the solution.
