Wecome to the Coldest Time of the Year

We are now into the coldest part of the year, according to KLKS Meteorologist Tony Schumacher.  He says average temperatures should begin to warm in a week or so.  He also says we are adding about a minute and a half of sunshine a day.  By February that will increase to two and minutes a day.

Schumacher says there is a connection between the Australian flooding and the frequent little snow events we are having.  They are both caused by the La Nina ocean pattern.
