Wadena-DC H.S. Comes Down

(AP)  The first step  in the future of Wadena-Deer Creek high school students is being taken.

The tornado damaged high school is being demolished to make way for a new structure.  It is expected to take up to a month and a half, depending on the weather.

A new school is expected to take its place in time for the 2012-13 school year.  Construction is scheduled to begin on April 1st.

The school was destroyed by a June 17th tornado, along with 260 other structures in town.
