Warm January Creates Some Road Hazards

"Tree snow" greeting morning commuters today. That's snow that falls from trees that have collected frozen fog. Minnesota State Patrol Sergent Curt Mowers says that, along with other winter conditions, have created some slippery surfaces around the Brainerd area. Bridge decks and shaded road surfaces tend to be the worst.

Despite those conditions, there hasn't be a surge in accidents. He says area drivers have been practicing their best winter driving skills.
