Ban the Bug Comes to Brainerd

The old Book World store at the Westgate Mall in Brainerd, will become the site of the Ban the Bug flu clinic Friday.

Nurse Manager Gwen Anderson of the Crow Wing County Health Department says 10 percent of the county population has been vaccinated against the H1N1 strain, so far. She tells KLKS News, they have enough vaccine to treat 30 percent. If they are successful, she says the rest of the unvaccinated population will benefit from reduced exposure.

The clinic Friday runs from noon to 4 p.m. It is for anyone 6 months and older, and is free.
