Governor Pawlenty Coming To Brainerd

The Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce will be holding a lunch with Governor Tim Pawlenty on Thursday, February 19 from 11:30am - 1:00pm at the Lodge in Baxter. The Governor's remarks will not only focus on balancing the budget, but strategically positioning Minnesota to prosper in a new economy. He will share his priorities, including his proposal for a Minnesota Jobs Recovery Act which includes cutting the business tax rate in half over 6 years, converting the capital equipment sales tax refund to an upfront exemption and a nmber of other initiatives. Cost to attend the event is $15.00. Registration is open to Chamber members only. Cancellations must be made by February 17 for a refund.
