Eagles Prepare to Return to the Brainerd Lakes

Bald Eagles should be returning to the Brainerd Lakes by the end of this week, or the beginning of next, according to DNR Non Game Specialist Pam Perry. She tells KLKS News, they are coming back now to reclaim nesting sites.
Perry says the raptors will survive the winter conditions by fishing open waters on rivers, scavenging road kill, and looking to see what ice fishermen have left behind.
