Oberstar to Hear About a Brainerd Vets Nursing Home

Minnesota Congressman Jim Oberstar will hear a proposal to put the Brainerd Regional Treatment Center back to good use. Former Brainerd State Senator Don Samuelson tells KLKS News, he would like to see the facility used as a veterans nursing home, among other things. Samuelson says, despite the tough economic times, this is not the time to run and hide. Instead, this is a time to put people back to work. The meeting with Congressman Oberstar is scheduled for 10:30 Saturday morning in building two of the Brainerd Regional Human Services Center.
