Deerwood Lions Award Scholarships

The Deerwood Lakes Lions have awarded three $500.00 scholarships for the Non-Traditional student attending school in the Spring semester of 2009. The recipients for the scholarships are Tammy L. Danielson of Deerwood,who is studying for a nursing degree, Krisann M. Gray of Crosby, who is looking forward to becoming a social worker and Jesse O. Omberg of Aitkin who is planning a career in law enforcement.The Deerwood Lakes Lions have provided Non-Traditional and Traditional Scholarships for many years and hopes to continue this program that is so beneficial to local students.
