Cravaack Pushes Copper Mining

Minnesota Congressman Chip Cravaack is following through on a campaign promise to push the development of the state's first copper mine near Hoyt Lakes.

The 8th District Republican claims he is not attempting to circumvent environmental reviews for the Polyment Mining Company, he simply wants to act as a facilitator for a project that would bring jobs.

Cravaack says he wants the meeting to include tribal officials, Polymet and Governor Mark Dayton.
