Bumpy Ice Covered Roads Around Brainerd

Brainerd area motorists have been contending with choppy ice covered roads since the New Years Eve rain and snow storm. 

KLKS Meteorologist Tony Schumacher says the January weather will not be improving the situation anytime soon.  He says it will remain cold through next week, with the coldest air so far possible the end of next week.

State highways have been slowly improving with constant treatment.  However, county and state budgets are not big enough to afford much more than sand at intersections, curves and hills.
