Trench Fatal in Bemidji

(AP)  Utility work north of Bemidji ended tragically Thursday. 

A worker died when a trench collapsed.  Crews tried to rescue the man, but he died at the scene.  His name has not been released. 

The crews were digging a trench to repair a water main when the accident occurred.
