Crews Contain Oil Spill Near Staples

Cleanup crews have contained an oil spill south of Staples, and an environmental official says there was no damage to surrounding bodies of water. Stephen Mikkelson of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency says about 210,000 gallons of crude oil oozed out of the pipeline yesterday morning. Crews working on the pipeland apparently failed to properly secure the oil the night before the incident.
