Patriots vs Mustangs at State

The Pequot Lakes football team is preparing for its first appearance in the state tournament, Saturday. The Patriots, with their 10 and 1 record, travel to Duluth to take on the Mora Mustangs, who are 9-2.

KLKS play-by-play announcer Steve Heslop says they are both running teams. So, the team with the best run defense will move on to the semifinals. Heslop says the Patriots have been tough against the run this season.

Heslop is predicting a 21-14 win for the Patriots.

The kick-off will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, the pregame show on KLKS begins at 2:50.
