Schaefer Nisswa Citizen of Year

Nisswa celebrated the selection of its 2009 citizen of the year last night at the new Grand View conference center. Ted Schaefer, owner of Schaefer's Grocery Store received the award. He told members of the chamber of commerce that he was embarrassed to win the honor, preferring to be a behind-the-scene kind of guy. He thanked his wife for putting up with his long hours at the store, and spoke with pride about the recently remodeling completed at the store.
