Delays on Hwy 210 in Baxter

Motorists need to be prepared for delays on Highway 210 from Golf Course Drive to Knollwood Drive in Baxter beginning Monday, Sept. 28.

To improve safety in the area, crews will be reconstructing the intersection to restrict left turns onto Highway 210. The work will include widening the left turn lanes to Elder Drive from Highway 210, installing concrete medians to restrict left turns from Elder Drive to Highway 210, resurfacing of the roadway, and installing a storm sewer and lighting.

Traffic will be restricted to a single lane through the work zone. Turn lanes will be closed to traffic during the first week of construction on the approaches. Motorists should slow down and watch for trucks hauling materials on Highway 210 and Highway 371.

Anderson Brothers Construction of Brainerd is the prime contractor for the $462,000 project.

The project is expected to be complete by early November.
