A Cool Dry Summer is Over

Autumn officially arrives at 4:18 this afternoon. K-Lakes meteorologist Tony Schumacher says the summer of 2009 will go down in the books as both cool and dry. He says most of the summer around the Brainerd lakes ran about two to five degrees below normal, except for September which has been about seven degrees above normal. August was the only moist month. The other months were a half to three inches below normal.

Schumacher says it has been a streaky summer.
