Operation Safe and Sober is Underway

Every law enforcement agency in Crow Wing County is involved in the "Safe and Sober" project for the month of December. Minnesota State Patrol Sergent Curt Mowers tells KLKS News, there are 40 thousand alcohol related arrests each year in the state. He says they will also be looking for seat belt and child restraint violations. Sergent Mowers says Minnesota typically sees 150 to 200 alcohol related fatalities each year.
