A Good Start to the Small Game Season

The small game season is off to a good start, according to Crosslake DNR Conservation Officer Nikki Shouts. She says there seems to be more grouse around, although she says it's hard to spot them because of the heavy foliage. Shouts says the "Take a Kid Hunting" weekend appeared to be successful. It was an opportunity for youngsters to go for ducks prior to the official opening of the season.
