1st Annual Tour of Colors Bicycle Ride

Nearly 100 bicyclers took on the challenge of the first annual Tour of Colors bicycle ride, Saturday.
They were treated to fresh late summer conditions, and sporadic hints of autumn. Riders chose from either a 24 or 40 mile ride which originated at Wildwedge Golf Center at the north end of Pequot Lakes. The riders spread-out around the Whitefish Chain of lakes, Cross Lake, Breezy Point and back to Pequot. Steve Claypatch of Minneapolis won the drawing for a new bicycle. Profits from the event will be used for the Patriot Foundation, which funds non athletic needs in the Pequot Lakes school system.
