Stagnant Air to the South of Brainerd
K-Lakes meteorologist Tony Schumacher says the air pollution health advisory for the southern two-thirds of the state, including our Brainerd Lakes Area, is not going to be as bad as first thought. He says the air flow is going to keep the hottest and most humid weather a few hundred miles to our south. Schumacher says when the air is warm and stagnant, there can be a build-up of ozone and particulates. He says there will still be some, but it should not be as bad as it could have been.
