Gazelka Hails Surplus

State Senator Paul Gazelka is touting a billion dollar surplus in projected state revenues.

The Brainerd Republican says this is good news many states are not receiving.  He tells KLKS News, he wants to give part of it back to taxpayers.  But first, the reserve fund needs to be fully funded, and money withheld from school districts repaid. 

Senator Gazelka said he was pleased that Rick Santorum won the Republican straw poll at the Tuesday MN caucuses.
