Northern Lakes Lightening Take 3rd Place

The Northern Lakes Lightening 12U hockey team took 3rd place in the state tournament over the weekend. 

The Junior High School girls from Pequot Lakes, Pine River, Crosslake, Crosby Ironton and Aitkin beat Elk River in the 1st round, lost an overtime thriller to Chisago Lakes in the semi finals, and beat Red Wing to earn 3rd place.

This is the best finish for any team in the Northern Lakes Lightening history.
