Howes On Teacher Pay Freeze

There is a proposal floating through the halls at the state legislature that would freeze teacher pay for two years. 

State Representative Larry Howes tells KLKS News, he generally has been cool to idea of seizing local control.  However, he says maybe it's time to require the local districts do something to control their costs.

Howes says the private sector is experiencing little in the way of pay raises, and the public sector needs to follow that lead.
