Cravaak Pushes Mining Development
Freshman Congressman Chip Cravaack met with high-level representatives from the U.S. Forest Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Thursday, to discuss how those agencies can expedite new mining development in the 8th District.
Cravaack says the two agencies will play key roles in the development of Northeast Minnesota’s vast mineral resources. The newly elected Republican says he plans to work closely with the Forest Service and Fish and Wildlife to bring high-paying, skilled jobs to the district while protecting the environment.
Congressman Cravaack has also scheduled meetings for early next week with the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
