Authorities Identify Hubbard Co Drowning Victim

(AP)  Hubbard County authorities have idenfied the young man who drown when he and a friend cracked through the ice on Third Crow Wing Lake late last week. 

18-year-old Lukas Neubarth of Brownton was towing a fish house when they broke through the ice near the mouth of the Crow Wing  River about 7 p.m. Thursday. 

Neubarth's friend Thomas Plendl was able to climb onto an ice shelf.  He then went back into the water looking for Neubarth, but was unable to locate him.  The search for him was suspended because of darkness and blizzard conditions. 

Neubarth's body was recovered Friday shortly afternoon noon.
