Franken Makes Brainerd Stop
Minnesota Senator Al Franken is making stops in Wadena, Brainerd and Camp Ripley today.
He was in Wadena today thanking city leaders for keeping people safe during the June 17th tornado, and the clean-up and rebuilding efforts since then.
Franken then traveled to Brainerd where he met with Mayor James Wallin, and other community, business and labor leaders at Central Lakes College to discuss job creation efforts in the region. Franken told KLKS News, he wants to see more public-private partnerships and more infrastructure to put people back to work.
Franken also says there must be a search for more manufacturing jobs for the area.
The DFL Senator concluded his day with a Tour of Camp Ripley with members of the Minnesota National Guard.
