CLC Hosts Foreign Students
Central Lakes College will be hosting international students through a global education initiative backed by the Department of State.
Community Colleges for International Development approved CLC for placement of three students from Brazil and one from South Africa in one year of study.
The initiative, in its third year, gives under-served, non-elite young adults from 14 countries an expense-paid year of training in their choice of seven study areas. The four incoming CLC students will focus on applied engineering.
The students were scheduled to arrive the week of Aug. 9. The fall semester begins Aug. 24 at CLC.
