Battle Creek Bomb the Lunkers

The Battle Creek Bombers drew four walks, got one hit, and scored three runs against starter Brad Mergen in less than an inning to pick up the 6-0 victory over the Brainerd Lunkers in front of 598 home fans at Mills Field.

The Lunkers fall to 27-30 overall and 11-13 in the second half with the loss. They head to Mayo Field to square off against the North Division-leading Rochester Honkers for a three-game series. Game One of the doubleheader tonight night starts at 6:05 PM while Game Two will begin shortly after.
