Merrifield Man Found Dead of Self-Inflicted Gun Shot Wound

Authorities have indentified a 50-year old Merrifield man who died of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.The Crow Wing County Sheriff's office has identified the man as 50-year old Kurt W. Ulm of Merrifield. Deputies responded to the call on the 12000 block of Young Lake Road and discovered the body inside a residence. Foul play is not suspected, but an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
