Crow Wing Bond Rating Improves

On tax deadline day, Crow Wing County taxpayers got some good news. In its efforts to refinance $3.3 million in general obligation bonds for the detention center, the county received a much improved bond rating. According to County Commissioner Paul Theide (Tee-dee), the county saved $170 thousand in the refinancing.
The county's tax base, fund balances and financial management are credited with the lower bond rating.
